I am Richard Kelemen, a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist, bringing many technical and tactile skills to my craft.
At the age of 14 I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic eye disorder which leaves me with very limited eyesight.
I identified massage therapy as an area in which all of my senses could be creative and constructive. The fact that my eyesight is diminished actually is a positive feature that enhances my tactical, technical skills required to be a good massage therapist. I embody the higher sensitivity ascribed to the sight-impaired as documented in an artical in the Journal of Neuroscience entitled "Tactical Acuity is Enhanced in Blindness" by D. Goldreich.
